Shelving System
Most of the materials in the Library are shelved according to the Library
of Congress Classification System. You can get an overview of how to find
materials with the LC system here.
The online catalog at http://iws.kohalibrary.com/ will list all available
copies and their shelving location (e.g. Main Stacks, Reference, etc.) and
library
staff are happy to assist you in locating materials. Theses written by IWS
students are shelved separately, by last name, and are available for use
in the library.
The Collection
The IWS Library collection numbers about 10,000 volumes (over 9,000 of those
are cataloged in the computer database) and one subscription to ATLA+ Serials
Database. The primary areas of concentration in the collection are Liturgy
and Worship Studies. The IWS Library's web-based integrated system provides
convenient access to the Libraries’ collections from
www.iws.edu/IWS/Library/.
It offers a variety of methods for finding books, periodicals, and other
resources.
